The Tatou series is inspired by antique samurai armor and is the French word for armadillo. The design represents resistance and strength along with lightness and dynamism. "The fusion of East and West is the first allusion to the lamp's complexity," Urquiola explains.
The shades are built from four identical pieces that are interwoven to form a dome-like structure with extraordinary craftsmanship.
