George Nelson at BAM

George Nelson: Architect, Writer, Designer, Teacher

Bellevue Arts Museum presents the works of George Nelson. The Vitra Design Museum exhibition begins October 29th and runs through February 12th, 2012. The retrospective features more than 220 objects, including furniture, lamps, clocks, graphic works, architectural models, films, prints, and a full-scale partial reconstruction of the 1959 American National Exhibition in Moscow. Nelson worked at Herman Miller for over 25 years and in that time designed many classic pieces of modern furniture, including the Marshmellow sofa, the Swag Leg series and the classic L-shaped desk.
